such a problem which is mostly facing by all those people who want to sell Ayurvedic medicine online
What actually happens is that we have talked many times that
whenever If we go to sell Ayurvedic medicine, then we do not need any kind of
license and if we talk properly then there is no license for sale or purchase
for Ayurvedic medicine. No Ayush license would and would not have any need of
AYUSH license because Ayush don't have license for sale and purchase.
Only when we do manufacture Ayurvedic medicine we require totake ayurvedic manufacturing license for manufacturing of ayurvedic medicine. For
ayurvedic distribution, ayurvedic retail, ayurvedic marketing company, no
license is required
But what is most common problem is faced by is that all the
online portals, whether it is Amazon, Flipkart or anyone, whenever you go to
get your product listed or register on them, then they ask to upload ayush
license or FSSAI license or registration
Then see if they are asking for AYUSH license, and you are a
manufacturer, you have a manufacturing license and you enter your Ayurvedic
manufacturing license in the name of the company in which you are registering,
then it gets approved. There you do not have to face the problem, but if you
are selling your own ayurvedic marketing brand, you are getting it manufactured
from another ayurvedic manufacturer, then you will not have any AYUSH license
there because AYUSH does not issue any distribution retail license,
Ayush department only issue manufacturing license for
ayurvedic medicines manufacturing if you talk to their customer care (Amazon
Flipkart etc.), then they say that AYUSH license is compulsory but it is not
clear to them also that from where they would get the distribution retail or
marketing license of AYUSH as it would not have been.
Only AYUSH has a manufacturing license, so if you have to
register your products there, then what to do?
They may also be right at their place because there are so
many such products which are unethical or manufactured without having valid
ayurvedic manufacturing license or people started uploading fake products,
that's why they applied the licensing system a little there, so if you want to
register your products there then you have to do one thing, you can take
registration or license of fssai.
Because Ayurvedic medicine is also considered as a food item
in a way, it is considered in food itself and the registration or license of
fssai is not a lengthy process, you can go online. You can apply by visiting
fssai's website, if you get registration then there is a fee of 100 rs per
year, if you take a license, state license then the fee of 2000-3000 per year
approx.
You easily get it online. There is no lengthy process so if
you want to register there then you can register there by taking license or
taking registration of fssai because ayush does not give license of retail or
marketing or distribution then you can register with fssai license or
registration and you can register your product on webportals like
(Amazon,Flikart etc.)
As it happened with us also, we were also uploading one of
our marketing division on a portal that was B2B portal so we were uploading at
it they also raise a demand for license, so we explained to them, but then the
thing came that you should upload the license of FSSAI because we also have the
license of FSSAI because we also work in some food supplements and for food
supplements is compulsory to have FSSAI license
In our ayurvedic manufacturing unit, we have ayurvedic
manufacturing license so we can upload our ayurvedic manufacturing license
directly but we have number of marketing divisions so we have FSSAI state
license for all of these so that worked for us and we uploaded it and our
registration was completed
So, if you want to sell Ayurvedic medicine online, then it
is also necessary to take FSSAI registration or license because most of the
portals are now demand for this thing so one is GST number and second one is FSSAI
license or registration.
So, I will request all those who are selling or purchasing
ayurvedic medicine offline also to take their FSSAI registration or license because
maybe in future you need of it
Norms are getting somewhat stricter in way, for AYUSH I have
clarified earlier that there is no license for sale or purchase for ayurvedic
medicines but now ayurvedic medicines are considered as food category so if you
take registration or license of FSSAI, then it will be better, you will also
have more safety, then you take it , there is no lengthy process then you can
get the license of FSSAI or You can register and take the GST number, after
that you can start your Ayurvedic medicine business comfortably, whether you
are doing it offline or online,
