Query:
One of my friend has started whole sale business of Ayurvedic medicines and under that he has few tablets which are ayurvedic preparation based and are registered under FSSAI license , does selling of these tablets need the FSSAI license? If you have any information on this please let us know
Response:
If your friend has tablets preparations that are manufactured under FSSAI then most probably they are not ayurvedic preparations. These are food products that are falsely claimed as ayurvedic preparation. Ayurvedic preparation don't registered under FSSAI and these are manufactured under Ayurvedic manufacturing license, mentioning ASU manufacturing license.
Chances are there, they are food products, so you will require to have FSSAI license to sell them.
